Forgot just how exciting a holiday can be

So since the pandemic the closest we’ve had to a holiday is a couple of day trips to Frinton

But earlier this week we booked 3 days at DLP in August. Now I may be 54 but I’m like a 10 year old. Checking the app every morning to see what’s going on in the parks. I’ve added DLP as a location on my weather app.

Id forgotten what the feeling of looking forward to a holiday was like

I know exactly what you mean

I swore I would not set foot on a plane for quite some time... and then I impulse booked two weeks ago! Going to Florida in September, and the MDE app has been reactivated, restaurant menus/reviews checked out, catching up on busy day guides, watching the exchange rates and everything else you could possibly think of. It is just so exciting, I feel like a child again instead of a middle-aged mum

Great isn't it... I've had August booked for what feels like forever... paid off the balance last week and finalised our ADRs yesterday. Add to that (currently) no more predeparture tests required... I can't fail to start being overly obsessed with all things WDW...

Already on it (which I guess makes us both odd!). Predicted above normal Atlantic Hurricane Season

Oh, and also love a bit of Flight Radar, makes for some interesting viewing.

Flight radar is sooo good... i've been regularly tracking our flight to see how it's been performing and occasionally sit here on a saturday nudging the DW saying "look, this is where we'll be in X days from now... "

I know what you mean. I'm 58. I recently spent a week in Madeira and it was one of the best holidays I've ever had.

I agree, I love the run up, planning & talking about holidays almost as much as the actual holiday 😊. Enjoy!

Currently have 4 holidays booked & 3 cruises as enjoy planning so much, I’m slowing down now 😂😂

It’s an amazing feeling. I’m on the 10 day countdown and the excitement is real!

We have started packing too which I think makes it become a reality!
