Trying for More Ears

It’s always absolute pandemonium here Christmas morning! Croissants with either jam or ham and cheese and pain au chocolate. Champagne or orange juice as a drink. This follows the usual toy building process, which requires at least a degree in engineering just to open the boxes 😄. I usually make a full Welsh breakfast on Boxing Day if I’m not working when it’s much more chilled.

Oh I just remembered I got DD some cookies and cream pop tarts so she will probably have those as well as pastries!

This year we are having smoked salmon, scrambled eggs, croissants and a fruit platter. With champagne as it’s Christmas 😁.
My parents in law who are staying with us will have their usual toast and tea. I love them dearly but they like what they like for breakfast and will not be swayed! |

We have always had large farm fresh boiled eggs and our children’s families have continued the tradition.

We are often on our own Chistmas morning so don't have anything special. When we get to wherever we are going we tend to have Bucks Fizz, Champagne or orange but there's always a part of me thinks we should have an 11 am sherry like the adults in my family did when I was a child.

I always make us some fluffy American style pancakes (Jamie Oliver recipe) with lots of fruit and syrup on Christmas morning, the last few years we have added some crispy streaky bacon too 🥓
