Cape verde or anywhere else recommendations

OK, so home a week from California and looking at booking a little jaunt in July. This time it will be a husband and wife trip and husband can't walk loads as he has a broken leg. He's not in a cast or boot as it's been like this for 3 years, it's just not mending! This is why he doesn't come on a lot of our trips.
So he wants a restful week sat by a pool in the sun. I want a bit of 5 star luxury and he wants all inclusive. I don't really want a long haul flight as only going for a week.
We've been looking at Cape Verde and I hoped all the lovely dibbers could hit me with hotel recommendations and some dos and don't. I'm also open to other places if someone can recommend? Budget is around £1000 each but I could increase that if I'm going to get 5 star treatment. All inclusive isn't a deal breaker but it is easier for the husband. Thankyou.

We have been to Boa Vista at the riu palace. All inclusive and there isn’t too much to do outside of the hotel grounds. We loved it as it made us chill, read, swim and the food was pretty good .
Looking at Sal next year , there seems to be more to do.

Thankyou. I think the ones we are looking at are Sal. My husband likes the look of Riu Cabo Verde.
