You'll probably struggle to get an Individual Lightning Lane then and won't be able to rope drop so I would definitely try at the end of the night. We entered the queue about 2 minutes before closing time. It's not foolproof, but almost every report I've seen of people doing this the wait has been a lot shorter than posted.

I expect still the 2 most popular rides in Disney.

I heard that RotR sells out within mins of becoming available at 0700hrs, but wondering for the in-laws whether this is the same for FoP. They really want to ride this!

100% agree, I entered the queue minutes before park closure multiple times just a couple months after it opened, and I waited 45 mins to 1 hour.

You would be lucky to find it with a 45 minute queue. I think buying an ILL is worth considering, it isn’t like RoTR which sells out within seconds.

It doesn't sell out as quickly as ROTR but every time I've checked recently FOP has been sold out before park opening. So if they're offsite I would say it's unlikely. But if they're able to book at 7am I wouldn't worry about not being able to get it.

We were there presidents week in feb and it was super busy. Queue times of over 90 mins all week. I was off site and managed to get a genie lightening lane.
