I did actually comment on that to DH!One day,as the train moved I actually fell and landed on a women’s knee,she just laughed along with us about it and wished us a happy vacation as she left the train at her stop.

I suppose it just shows how much it varies like anything.
I’m a Londoner and never had an issue on the tube in all my 40 years but I would try to avoid the subway if I could on any trip to NYC. Suppose it just depends on who else is riding on the day! Edited at 08:24 AM. |

Excited about Disney

Having just returned from NY, I was really pleasantly surprised about how easy it was to navigate the subway & how nice the locals were helping any confused looking souls.
The first time is obviously a bit awkward (where have I heard that before?) but it quickly becomes "normal". We never felt unsafe on it, despite staying at a hotel between 34th & 35th St & often using 42nd Times Square, even quite late at night. |
