Well, if you don’t eat in many sit down restaurants or drink lots of alcohol in a bar, you won’t need to tip much tbh, but it does seem a bit like that lol

But If you are budgeting for meals in sit down restaurants, just add another 20% basically, but everywhere I’ve been more or mess have a bit in the bottom of the bill, which advised you in how much to tip.

It’s not the best system, but it’s their system and I will say I find the service a lot better than in England.

Just round it up to what you want to give or wait for change, then tip with that.

Are you staying in an hotel? We’ve often asked for change at reception and kept our small change for tips at bars and daily maid cleaning. Otherwise can you buy something and keep the change?

If you don’t have small notes perhaps you could purchase something, maybe juice/sweets before leaving the airport, to get change.

I know tipping threads often get shut down - but it is useful to be able to clarify a few things as I am always worried about doing the wrong thing!

How much do people tip uber drivers? This is our first time not hiring a car so was unsure about the amount - is it about 10-15%?

Also when you leave your cases at the hotel - do you just tip when you get them back or when you leave them as well?

Bar staff - do you tip per round or at the end if you are having more than one drink?

I tip (18-20%) if the service is good. If the service is poor then I don’t tip anything, and I’m not wasting my time raising the issue with management if they can’t get it right first time.

I will take 2 of your questions

Cases - I tip when I collect them or more likely when they deliver to my room

Bar Staff. I run a Tab so tip at the end. If they wont allow a Tab then tip every time.
