We are looking at the Planet Hollywood one in Mexico, looks great but slightly put off by numerous recent Tripadvisor reviews saying due to humidity and ventilation issues a lot of the rooms are damp, smelly and even mouldy.

There also loads of great reviews - although something I note is that many of them are brief 5* reviews from people whose only Tripadvisor review is this one, which is interesting. Before Covid we looked at Mayan Riviera and a travel agent told me that some big hotels in that area incentivise guests to post 5* reviews.

Have booked the Royalton Splash Riveria Cancun for next summer school holidays the hotel opens in December.
14 nights AI in a Diamond suite with premium economy.

Looked the the hard rock but was put off by reading reviews that's the teenager lounge had been closed.
