1 night at Universal hotel...

We are planning on booking 1 (maybe 2) night/s at Royal Pacific next August.

Our holiday is dates are 22 Aug - 6 Sept

What day's would you say are best to be booking? Thinking of crowds and roughly when horror nights usually start?

Just to say I’ve just done this with our June trip because Travel Republic had a low deposit option, might be of use

Thank you that's helpful but I've been saving my Tesco club card vouchers for a universal hotel. So far I've got £150 then it gets tripled 👍

I think your dates would just miss HHN, although the start date is getting earlier so you may get the first night or two during your stay. So towards the end if attending HHN is important, beginning if it's not and you want to avoid those crowds.

Although if the rest of your trip is Disney, I'd personally plan those days and then slot in Universal wherever it logically fits. Some people like to plan it in the middle as a break from the bubble, where others prefer not to move resorts too much so will put Universal at either end of their Disney days.

Note that the last weekend of your stay is the Labour Day holiday, so that will increase crowds at both.

We aren't bothered about HHN we have been before and now we have 2 children in tow - maybe when they're a bit older 😉

We are literally slotting the extra night/s into our disney trip, so not tagging onto the end (unless the kids term dates start later than planned)

I was aware of labor day wkend, we fly home on the Sunday so most of our plans will be done so a chilled out few days.

I didn't know whether to book Universal for a weekend as we will have the express pass or shall we stick to weekdays?

I’m following this thread with interest.

Wondering whether booking a week night or weekend (Friday or Saturday) is better regarding crowd levels and price.

We’ve stayed twice at RPR in 2015 and 2017 but I honestly can’t remember exactly when!

Hopefully someone can help.

I can't decide if to book RPR for a weekend and take advantage of the express pass and stay away from Disney on a weekend. Especially if WDW bring in the paid fast pass!

Sundays have always been good for us at universal especially with an express pass and you might find a Saturday night hotel stay is more expensive.

I’ve booked hard rock for the 18-20 august next year. We’ve booked with travel republic. Hadn’t thought about this 🙄
