Location: Central Scotland
Plan it in for the second or third day of your holiday (not the first morning just in case of flight issues). That way the body clock will still be getting them up early enough.

Agree with others that getting there early is always best, we have been to DC 5 times and always arrive around 7am for early check in then breakfast before the waters open, the day always goes so quick when there as having so much fun that we don’t want to waste a minute of the day

I find the day goes too quickly as it is so wouldn't leave it that late. Why not book for the start of your holiday when you'll probably be up earlier anyway
