I heard rumours they’re looking at making it so it’s just when you’re indoors/in queues but I’m not sure when or if the rumours are right. I hope so anyway, I don’t mind wearing them inside but I think outdoors in Florida heat will be a struggle!

Seeing how busy the parks have been this last week or so and that’s on reduced capacity I wouldn’t expect any of the parks to remove their mask policy this year. I think they will reduce social distancing as capacity rises so masks will still be required.

I don't believe Disney has definitely confirmed that face masks will be required all year. I think they've only suggested that they are likely to remain for the rest of this year.

Bob Chapek said that he expects "some level of social distancing and mask wearing for the remainder of this year. That is our expectation".

But he did go on to say "Dr Fauci said earlier today that he hopes there’s vaccines for everyone who wants them by April this year. If that happens, that is a game changer, and that could accelerate our expectations".

I suspect Universal will follow in a similar way. So I'd expect face masks to be worn in some circumstances (eg. indoors) for most of the rest of this year, both at Universal and Disney.

Face masks just when you’re indoors/in queues is fair enough.

However me and 2 kids going in October are all exempt (asthma, autistic) however we still wear masks when we can for protection.

Are exemptions in UK from wearing masks recognised the same in USA ?

There are currently no exemptions whatsoever in Disney and I think US are the same?

My sons severely autistic and there’s no way I’m booking until they drop the masks. He’s never wearing it abs the thought of going out there then being turned away is horrific.

At the moment, face masks are required outside in the parks and there are no exemptions. The rules apply to all those 2 years or older no matter what medical conditions they may have (sorry!).

We don't know at the moment when that will change. Hopefully it'll change soon, but it would be a complete guess. Therefore, at the moment, expect to have to wear a facemask for most of the day.
