Best water park for non swimmers/kids
Hello all,
I'm a v confident swimmer. DD cant swim yet (although I'm hoping to work on it) but loves water play and like me she would happily spend all day in a pool. (She will be turning 5 when we go). Hubby can only just swim and isnt confident but would enjoy a chill out/splash and we will have a 13month old when we visit florida. What are the best water parks for non swimmers or young children? We are already going to discovery cove and so will also have aquatica tickets as well as disney tickets. We will only have 1/2 water parks day. Another question, if we booked a disney park for the morning and decided to go to a disney water park can we do this on a park hop later on? Do you pre book water parks? Thanks all Edited at 01:16 PM. |

Both Typoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach would work for you. Both great parks that I don’t believe take bookings, though worth remembering that traditionally they get busier the later in the day - so lunch onwards I would say.

Looks like you are going around august time so therefore will likely have thunder storms in the afternoon so I would plan on doing water parks in the morning.

I'm amazed you managed to work this out but I'm so glad you said because I had not factored that in at all! X

I can’t swim and I’m fine at both Disney parks. I am 6ft though so I just stand up and walk out. I think I managed most of Aquatica too. I’ve not done Volcano Bay yet though.

Agree both Disney water parks. I'm not a confident swimming and quite anxious of water but I was still able to enjoy the water slides with the inflatables and the lazy river.

Aquatica has a good sized kids play area with covered seating right next to it.

Whilst generally preferring the two Disney Waterparks, even though I no longer visit Disney...
I would vote for Aquatica as there is very little deeper water, other than the wave pools and in addition, a fabulous young children’s play area. Edited at 03:31 PM. |

Another vote for Aquatica here! Great for little ones. Also recommend hiring one of their cabanas, for shade, shelter, somewhere peaceful for the little one to nap and a fridge to keep everything cool! Mornings are definitely the time to visit in August - for both the heat and the thunderstorms.
