Virgin glitch?

So I was looking today for a flight for October half term and because we stay in Clearwater I was looking at Tampa.

Been debating with the Aer Lingus flights to MCO but I’ve been worried about them being cancelled and being stuck with an Aer Lingus voucher for £2k

Today I saw a price of 2.6k (2 adults and 1 child) for Manchester to Tampa via ATL on the way out and via JFK on the way back with Virgin.

It offered me a reduction of £130 per person to upgrade to Upper Class so total flight cost was 2.5k for upper class albeit it’s delta first on US routes and booked it as unlikely able to afford UC on school hols ever!

My credit card has been deducted 2.5k but my email receipt says the total price is over 7k.

I’ve got screenshots which show total price is the total 2.5k for three passengers.

What would you do? make contact and query it? Needless to say won’t be paying £7k for an indirect flight 😲.

Can you view your booking OK on the website/app and select seats? It's a bit weird your email doesn't match what was displayed onscreen or charged.

Yes absolutely, got three seats all booked in upper class on the VS routes and Delta first on their flight.

It was the virgin app using my phone. 21st Oct to 31st Oct.

If your receipt email is titled Virgin Atlantic E ticket and it has booking reference and E ticket numbers on then you've been booked and tickets issued.

Can't explain the receipt but if they've took payment and issued tickets you should be OK.

How do you stand legally if you know its the wrong price, and they try and come after the rest of the money?

Even though you have a invoice for the booking from them?

Hmmm our e tickets say child beside our names but our screenshot show 2 adults and 1 child.

I feel this has disaster written all over it!
