Options with a baby
Hi 🙋
Hopefully someone can give some advice We’re hoping to return to Disney in Dec (if we can). Our son will be 9 months old. We want to stay on property without a car and use the busses to get around and the magical express one last time. Previously when we’ve wanted to go offsite we’ve used Uber no problems but how does that work with a baby? Can you order cars with a car seat or should we take our own? Thanks

By Law he doesn't need one however that is nuts in my view
I am no expert on Ubers but I do understand you can select one that has a seat and also Mears Cabs do that as well. They cost more per ride. Taking your own would be cheaper but a right faff.

Yep by law you don't need one in an Uber or Disney bus etc. When we visited with my brother and SIL in 2018 they were staying off site with a 2 year old and a 8 month old, and they had a double stroller and carry bag for the baby. They just kept the kids on their laps or the baby in the carry bag depending on how awake she was! It didn't bother or worry them, and it went absolutely fine with no hassles or problems. So you *can* do it that way if you don't want the hassle of carrying around car seats or finding lockers for them etc!

Hi,
We went in November 2019 and stayed on site, our little boy was 7months old. I believe the Uber car seat options supplies one forward facing car seat for a child that is over 2. We used Mears and when we booked we requested a rear facing car seat - sometimes we had to wait a while for a cab to become available that had one.

Thanks everyone. I wouldn’t risk him not having one so looks like Mears seems like the best option then.
