Tui's Ł80 sounds ok. Im flying with virgin and if its two tests each at Ł120 then that will be an additional Ł960 onto an already expensive holiday. i could afford that, but if it ends up being Ł240pp then ill point blank refuse to pay it.

So it seems the pre departure test is an 'antigen test' which is different to the lateral flow tests (given out in schools) and to the PCR tests (taken when we return).

So many different types of tests, it's very confusing.

But we need 3 tests in total? One antigen 3 days before returning to the UK, and two PCR once we have returned to the UK, on days 2 and 8.

EDIT:

Now I have read on another website that an antigen test is a lateral flow so I am very confused.

Personally I don't think Ł120 is a lot. I cant imagine there is a huge profit in three given all the R&D that went in, the equipment that is needed cant be cheap, and the man power needed.
Personally, I am just glad we have the testing capability. Everyone wants everything on the cheap.
Basic economics will set the price. Maybe this will reduce as travel restarts in earnest. Who knows.
