Mobile Paying OOP for children at 2 credit restaurants

Hi,

We would like to book a couple of 2 credit restaurants for our holiday in October. Are we able to pay OOP for our children’s meals and pay for ours with the dining plan? Will we then be able to use the credits on another meal or are they specifically children’s credits? Thanks!

TS credits are separated into adults and children's.

If your children are aged 3-9, then their TS credits will be child specific and can't be used for an adult TS meal. You can upgrade your children to the adult dining plan by changing their ticket to an adult one. However, if you've paid to upgrade the qsdp to the ddp, then you'd need to pay the adult upgrade price too, so it probably wouldn't be worth it.

Thank you for your quick replies and for clarifying that for me. Fingers crossed I manage to get all the ADRs I want when I book this weekend.

To answer the other half of your question, there is no issue paying for a table partly with credits and partly OOP. Just let the server know that's what you want to do.

Looking for a bit of advice on something similar.

There are 7 of us, 4 adults 3 kids: 3, 7 & 12 year olds. So 5 Adult DDP's and 2 childrens DDP's.

At a signature restaurant if we used 2 credits for each of the adults meals and paid oop for the kids, what are the chances of using the 12 yo being allowed to order a kids meal? And would it be possible to use 12 yo's 2 TS credits and kids TS credits for counter service meals at a later date?

I don't think there's anything on the menu that the 12 yo would like, it feels like it would be a big waste of 2 adult TS credits.

Yes your child can order a kids meal if they wish. Even adults can order them if they want.

You can use TS credits for QS meals but it's very poor value for money. Perhaps look for a lunch time TS reservation somewhere?

Hi,
We had one child on the adult plan and one on the child plan. We used up some of the child's credits paying for TS meals for both of them (my other child was 10 and wanted kids meal anyway), then saved up some of her adult meal credits towards 2 credits meals for hubby and me and paid OOP when the child credits were used up! If that makes sense!

My DS will be 11 so I’m assuming he’ll have adult credits? He will want a child’s meal, so we were hoping to use some of his credits for adult meals for us and pay oop for his kids meals . Will this be possible please as I thought it would?
