Ale and Compass Dinner - Beware The Bread Service!
The other night we popped in there for dinner.
First time since the renovation from the old Capts Grill. Nicely done and the food was nice. No issues whatsoever and we would go back. However we decided to order some bread as this is one of the few places where you have to pay for it. Parker House Rolls and Spreads Bacon Jam, Pub Cheese, Citrus Butter $12 Well! What a total rip off, greasy little rolls that probably cost 60 cents in Walmart in the out of date section $12 for 5 scabby rolls that I would think twice about giving to a dog. The server said the concept was dreamt up by a Manager who then left. Probably hanging their head in shame. Is this the future? God help us!

I would avoid this place, was served raw pork there and the manager was beyond rude.
The menu is a bit odd as well with things like Protein bowl on the menu. The ladies in the Crew Cup lounge next door said after the refurb they had lots of complaints about it, they are not too impressed as it also forced a change to their menu due to kitchen limitations and it proved to be very unpopular. I won't be back there, shame as the old captain's grill was ok food and never needed a reservation for it.
