This is strange, one for the admins I suspect. When I quoted your post I can see the embedded links,

[IMG]http://photos.app.goo.gl/rmyVDzMxoWFMuwTn6[/IMG]

and if I open directly in a browser they work fine. I suspect it's the way google photos is presenting them, or possibly permissions (though unlikely was I can open in the browser).


Anyway, I took the liberty of cut&pasting so others could see them, hope you don't mind.

You're welcome, those kind of things intrigue me (sad, I know)

Anyways I asked the Admins on the Guest Services forum and Simon (SMAX) confirmed it's due to the way Google host the photos, you don't get a direct link to an image, it's a web page that has the image embedded in it.

But I also found a way around it

If you click the image it opens it, then right click and select 'Open image in new tab'. This url is then a direct link which you can use
