Should I wait and buy tickets over there?
Hi all,
Still really looking forward to our trip in May, and the time has now come to buy our park tickets. I have scoured all the ticket sites and had some good quotes. park-tickets.com give a good price for the Disney 5 day MYW base tickets and theme park tickets direct.com seem to be the best for Discovery Cove Swim, KSC and Universal studios/IOA total for a family of four approx £1500. But a couple of people have told me to wait and buy my tickets at the parks as there are big savings to be made. To be honest I would be happier buying the tickets before we go just for peace of mind but would appreciate your thoughts. Have you bought tickets at the parks and what are the pros and cons. Many Thanks. |

I have always bought my tickets before we go, it then makes me feel I have more spending money.

I always get my tickets before I fly. I think one ticket (14 day ultimate) you can only get here in the UK (someone will correct me if i am wrong)

Buy them here before you go.
Some of the best value tickets are only available in the UK, you wouldn't be able to buy them at the parks. If you look on any ticket site with a comaprsion you'll see that there are savings to be made over the gate prices for almost every ticket available. |

I don't think there are any savings to be made by waiting, unless you are going to buy dodgy tickets from Timeshare salespeople and personally that's not the way I want to spend my vacation.
The tickets sold at the gate are NOT cheaper than buying in advance, but your friends may have realised that the base MYW tickets sold at the gates are cheaper than the Ultimate tickets sold by travel agents (especially compared with the Disney official prices) so that could be why they have said that |

i bought my tickets from attraction tickets direct in the uk when i came home i worked out that if i payed each day individually for a family of four to go to the parks it would have cost me £2.300 but buying relevant tickets needed it only cost me £940 alot of saving made ,buying before you go in the uk

buy before you go saves all the hassel of having to queue to buy tickets when you get there.
