Epcot Space Restaurant

They have started advertising about jobs for the new restaurant. It's stated that it's currently from April 2019 that the jobs will begin. Hoping that means it will be fully open when we go in May

Only thing I read elsewhere it was due to open 2021 so who knows. I guess the people who work there could take 2 years to train like real astronauts

So as an ex-cast member I had the email about the jobs. They are looking for previous internationals who worked there so people who are already partially trained. They are saying contracts would be 1 year contracts from September 2019 so they are expecting the restaurant to open around then. Training time in Disney terms is usually around a week for restaurants so I would say late September is when they are thinking it will be open.

You should apply Gismo, full time there on the tips and you could be bringing in 75k plus I imagine as it’ll be packed.

The site of the restaurant is visible as you are on Test Track. It's only at the footings stage currently so won't be finished until late 2019 at the earliest I would have thought.
More like 2020 in my view.

Trust me when I worked there back in 2003 I made no where near this amount. You only get $3 an hour in a tipped position so very rarely made your rent and as I worked in the UK pavillion you'd be amazed how many people didn't tip at all. Also it says "we are looking for young..." I feel at 38 they might argue I'm not young (lol)

I wonder why the DisneyFoodBlog article (linked in the first post) says that the International Services website is looking for people to start working from April 2019 if the contract doesn't start until September?

I hope this is open when we go next September. I’ll need to keep a credit back just in case!

They might be looking for other nationalities to start before then. It says UK interviews are in Jan and roles start in Sept. I've attached email below I think:
