just how busy is this? is it a case of avoid or else? the beach boys are on when we are there

Can't be 100% sure about how busy it will be, but oooh I imagine the Beach Boys are popular so they will draw crowds. This might include people who go earlier in the day to enjoy the parks, and also APs who turn up in the afternoon/evening just for the concert.

For the concert people will be mainly around the stage which should be in front of Rip Ride Rockit. I think Rip Ride Rockit doesn't run during the concert. I would think that the rest of the park might function as normal during the concert.

I'd go during Mardi Gras for the atmosphere though! I've been a couple of times and they've been incredibly fun, with the food stalls and the awesome parade where they throw a ton of beads at you.
