I'm wondering too (The Dibb must have an 'insider' ) I'm on other forums and groups and this is the only place I've seen it all day.

No, unfortunately not - unless you get a very sympathetic server.

I've seen posts etc on other forums and groups but all linked back to The Dibb announcement - nowhere else has announced it.

We will just have to keep our fingers crossed but it would be a wonderful bonus so if anyone from Disney is reading this, lets hope they pick up the idea 😀

No. Disney have not updated their site yet but they are working on it.

It will be for QS too if the QS serves alcohol or the other speciality soft drinks.

I do have more info but have been asked not to share the full details. It is a very welcome change and you will be surprised at what you can get. But not all things will be available. You wont be able to have those expensive shots of whiskey or other high end drinks. There will be a limit. If you are two adults and two under 21's then you wont be able to have their alcohol and pay for their soft drinks etc.

Although this is a good move by Disney, they have been diminishing the DDP from its introduction in 2005. At first you got...

V1
QS - Main - Dessert - Soft Drink
TS - Starter - Main - Dessert - Soft Drink and Gratuity was included.
1 Snack Per Day

Then they dropped the Starter and Gratuity...

V2
QS - Main - Dessert - Soft Drink
TS - Starter - Main - Dessert - Soft Drink and Gratuity was included.
1 Snack Per Day

Then they dropped the Dessert from the QS meal...

V3
QS - Main - Dessert - Soft Drink
TS - Starter - Main - Dessert - Soft Drink and Gratuity was included.
2 Snacks Per Day

But they gave you 2 snacks per day. While this equates to the same for those on the regular DDP from V2, it is a loss for those on the QS DDP. They are losing 2 desserts but only gaining 1 snack in its place.

So as you can see there is a reduction from the original DDP even with the new additions. If you compare to that you have lost the Starter on the TS and the Gratuity and the Dessert on the QS meal. You now have 1 more snack and can choose alcohol but also remember you will be paying gratuity on that alcohol at TS meals so up to $3 per glass of wine as a tip. Then after one glass you might want another etc.

It is a fantastic addition though by Disney and it shows they are listening to feedback and acting on it. Thumbs up from me. I wasn't going in 2018 but this has made me rethink it with free DDP.

It starts on 1st January 2018. So if you have the DDP before that but are still enjoying it on the 1st January you will still benefit from this change.

I will post more once I have the green light.
