For me it will be more the experience of running through the parks as opposed to Star Wars characters although I am sure will stop for the odd photo if no q’s.

Any other comments on the event itself?

Thank you

Thank you... wouldn’t bother with the photo ops then unless it’s of the parks.

Each to their own but I wouldn’t pay $200 to run and not do the photo ops. It’s more than twice the price of the London Marathon and what makes the Run Disney events unique. If Hubby doesn’t get a photo with Darth Vader then he’s not doing it 😄

Yeah each to their own... for me it will be running through the parks and the atmosphere.

Having not seen any of the Star Wars films, I am not too fussed on the character photo ops.

Now if it was actual Disney characters then that’s a different story.

Not fussed on the money... it’s the experience!

Bib collection

Hi,

I didn’t even know this was on during our trip. Very tempted by the 10k. Does anyone know where the bib collection is, and how long it takes? Is it easy to combine with a park trip (say Epcot) without taking too much out of the day?

Thanks!

Bib collection is at the ESPN complex at the Run Disney Expo and doesn’t take that long (though there is a ton of merchandise and stalls there so easy to get caught up in that).

It's the experience for my husband too. We've been coming to Disney since 2004 and so the medals alone and the run through the parks are what he's looking forward too
My Husbsnd done the Liverpool Rock 'n' Roll one a few years ago! He loved it

Exactly... can imagine the whole event to be amazing. Finished off with a CM breakfast.
I don’t think I would get many chances to do this.

I ran 2 x Mersey marathons back when you started in Birkenhead park and ran through the tunnel. Next year will be my first RnR marathon.

Has your husband not done a Disney event?

Yeah, he's done loads of tunnel runs, half marathons and 1 marathon.
Never done a Disney event before, there has never been one during our visits. This will probably be a one off which is why he really wants to do it

He did do a 5k Lake Louisa in run in 2017 (not far from Kissimmee) which was good And the medal is made of wood
