Here now car burgled/ vandalised

Got to the car this morning to see the drivers window has been smashed. The car next to us the same. Sheriff on the scene now taking details. I’ve spoken with Alamo and I need to ring again with a crime number. They think 17 cars have been done. Fortunately we didn’t leave anything in the car! Is there anything else I need to do?

OMG! Is everyone OK? Wouldn't worry too much about the car - that is what you pay insurance for - the only hassle is getting another one. Where were you parked?

OP. Not good news but financially you are ok, nothing to pay.

Get the crime reference number and ask will the report be put online so you and Alamo can view it. They should do that.

Alamo will bring you another car out on a low loader as nobody can sit in that car to drive it.

It was parked in the hotel car park. (Residence inn by seaworld) we were the first to discover the damage as we were up early for discovery cove. No one was hurt luckily.

Thank you for the reassurance. Alamo initially wanted us to drive the car until I said it was the drivers window. He was surprised as normally they go for the back windows

Same thing happened to our hotel last year (pointe resort). Large number of cars hit somehow managed to avoid ours but hit both cars either side. Think 3 hotels were hit the same night as ours. Hotel went as far to say this was common that a group would hit several hotels in a night and know which cars are rentals. Noticed a police presence this year

Hopefully Alamo get a new car back to you asap and you can enjoy the rest of your day

We were on idrive two years ago and there were about half a dozen done on our hotel car park.
We then moved to Bradenton and they had done four more,
It’s common sense to everyone not to leave anything at all in the car at the end of the day so with some they just try their luck and it’s not always rentals as the couple next to us had driven from Ohio and he wasn’t pleased to say the least .

I don’t think they were all rentals here either. One lady had a gun in her car!
