It's not cheating the system. Anyone is entitled to pay for a night's stay at one of the onsite resorts and will get all the benefits from doing this. It's up to you whether you choose to stay in the room or not (it makes life slightly easier for Disney and mousekeeping if you don't). Disney is happy to take your money - it's the reason why they offer these perks in the first place.

It's no different to when I booked to stay 1 night at a Universal hotel in order to get the 'free' Unlimited Express Passes for two days.

True it has to be via the US site. But if you dont actually stay there why would you pay to park? Or does it just go on as part of your campsite purchase?

But yeah def go for a throwaway, worked perfect for us too!

Yes I thought you received free parking at the Disney parks as you are effectively a Disney Guest but I might be wrong!

Parking is still free at the campsite regardless of where you’re from. People need their vehicles to bring their camping stuff.
I’m trying to book the campsite for next summer, it lets me put my card details in but then comes up with an error saying I have to call Disney, tried it over a dozen times now!🤔
