Question Going back to disney after 12 years

We went to wdw 4 times in the 80'..all our kids were in secondary school then .. things were a bit quiter then at tthe parks, you could get on most of the rides. We have started watching florida vloggers.. and are considering just my wife and I going back in sept.2020. All 4 kids are married with their own kids now...my question is ..we have always booked a villa so can you get MOST fast passes 30 days before your holiday and is queing really that bad now.
cheers

You will definitely get "most" fastpasses as your still going to be ahead of a lot of people who still don't do any planning or go last minute.

Que's are not that bad, just download the My Disney Experience app and you can go on every so often and take a look.

I think adults only have a much easier time of it than with children, as all your plans can be undone in one tantrum much less likely to happen just adults.

Do you need to stay onsite? Absolutely not, but if it's in budget then I always recommend it for all the added perks, transport, fp 60 days and extra magic hours etc.

We are just back after 7 years with grown up children stayed in a villa and we did everything. We were worried about having to plan everything up front and we did book passes at 30 days as a rough guide but chopped and changed what we felt like usually day before or sometimes on the day.

We had a villa holiday with extended family and we needed to stay flexible due to the health issues of my niece. We booked a couple of fastpasses for the first day on MK, and a meal at Chef Mickeys and apart from that we decided the night before which park we’d go to the next day and got fastpasses.
