True. The wave was our worst experience at Christmas but I think it was totally down to the way they organised their Christmas Day offerings. The food was nice but it was overbooked, chaotic and rubbish service.

I’d be really interested to hear how you find it as I’d like to give it another go just never again on Christmas Day or thanksgiving when they do their ‘special’ meals.

Yes it’s definitely on the dining plan and it is 2 credits each. Can’t believe you can order more than one entree, decisions, decisions! 😋

The setting was lovely, we weren’t rushed, the food was great especially the veal and seafood. The service was brilliant.

I expected it to be a once and done but we’ve booked it again for July.

I’m hoping for an ADR at Storybook in October. It looks like a meal we would really like.

Thanks for reading and commenting. I’ll report back how it is again in July.

We have the brunch at California Grill booked too.

We ate at The Wave last night, and last Monday!

It's our go to place and normally we are there at least twice a week. Bear in mind we are in a Villa this trip so it's a 40 min drive each way so it must be good.

Thanks. Everyone seems to speak highly of the Wave. We were obviously just unlucky on Christmas Day.

This will be our fourth visit to the wave. Never had poor meal yet

SBD. It’s not so much the food that puts me off, I’m not a fussy eater my any stretch of the imagination. I just thought the menu and the food as shown on the blogs were a bit canteen looking
Anyway. It’s canceled it’s the wave for a more relaxing meal. Sometime I forget that whilst there is a four year old grandson to consider there are equally two important adults to also consider the grandmother (me) and the mother ( my daughter). Plus. A meal at the wave means if he’s still on the go, we can either wander around the MK resorts via the monorail or wander into MK

We enjoyed the character interaction and felt the tables in Artist Pointe were spaced out more than in some restaurants.
We had been looking forward to the food but were disappointed. DS had the chicken which was a petite portion - he also ate most of my beef which was a lovely flavour but chewy. All the desserts were far too sweet. Even the tartness of the gooseberry struggled to break through the meringue.
Wicked Queen was great in character but the photographer was too busy talking to another CM to take a decent picture.
We actually had finished eating before the Queen came back out, our food was not as rushed here as it was other places where we had plates snatched away before we had taken the last mouthful.

We had a terrible experience in January and I wouldn’t recommend it with a small child. I find it interesting that you’ve heard stories of people being rushed. We were in for over 2 hours and found the service painfully slow. I don’t like long meals with infants, but the lack of attention for even drinks service would have frustrated me if we hadn’t had the kids.

I’m intrigued by the Wave now. We’re at the Contemporary and VGF next time so should check it out!
