Saturday 9th April
I'd already scoped out the pool the day before and knew it would be a challenge to get some sunbeds. I went down for breakfast at 8am and there were only a few left, staked my claim, had a quick breakfast then settled in for the day around the pool.
Had planned to got to Lincoln Road in the afternoon but my wife wasn't bothered. We had lunch at the pool and I was surprised at how good it was. Great views, nice mojito and a relaxing last day.

A huge iguana strolled next to the pool, which livened up the afternoon! It was about 2 feet long.

I'd had a txt from BA that our 21:00 flight was delayed to 22:50. Just enjoyed the hotel and the last of the sun before calling the Valet parking. Easy drive over the airport, car dropped without an issue.
Checking is was great, none of the huge queues and hassle we'd had the last time at MCO.
Security was a breeze with TSA-Pre, part of Global Entry. No queue, straight through, no taking out electronics and no taking off shoes.

Had a beer in the lounge and half of a cuban sandwich. The plane was an Airbus A380, legroom was excellent and the window seat I was in had acres of room, very happy about that. My wife was in the middle but we had the row to ourselves so she was a happy bunny.

Meal was OK, chicken and mash. For the first time ever I didn't sleep on the way back - was probably the cuban coffee I'd had the day before!

Car pick up at T5 was fine and journey home unenventful.

Tired and very happy. Had a great time, very relaxing and a little bit different from our usual park beasting holidays.

We've been on a few cruises, the Oasis class of ships like the Allure are just amazing. So many different places to enjoy yourself, from busy to quiet corner with a coffee looking over the ocean.

Great trip report, seems like a great holiday was had. We've been on the Allure from Fort Lauderdale (different ports), it was lovely, such a great ship and the solarium was a favorite spot for us also. It's a pity you didn't get to experience more of those ports, we did them on a different cruise but nice to have a few sea days. Our next cruise has no sea days

OMG the size of that iguana My dd would love it lol. Love Miami, so glad you both enjoyed your trip
