Some great suggestions - thank you all.

Im not sure what the plan is for bbqing - we will be doing BBQing on nights 2 and 3 and i think they usually all bring their own bits.

The group we are going with have all camped together before but this is our first time with them.

We are also going to the Dorgodgne camping at the end of June - just the 2 of us - but that will be a different ballgame as it will be hot and will involve just bread cheese and wine.

Im sure there will be lots of wine!

We usually barbecue most nights and get a takeaway delivered for a change. Never actually cook anything other than on the barbecue except for fried eggs for breakfast, with bacon cooked on (you guessed it) the barbie

Agree. Barbecued cooked breakfast is the best thing about camping !

Day one hotdogs on the bbq , I took a box of curry frozen for night 2 and reaheateded in one pan then uncle bens boil in the bag rice as it’s so tidy and leaves the pan less messy . Takeaway night 3 .

Cook at home & freeze, then let it defrost overnight in coolbox/portable electric box
