DAS pass - is Genie + needed?

Hi, we are hoping our son will have a DAS pass approved did you his Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. Are we likely to need Genie + if we have DAS?

Thanks

Hi,

I also have ME/CFS. I am planning on speaking to Disney about the Das pass for my trip next year. I have a friend who is just back from Florida and has a medical disability which meant he qualified for the das pass. He said he didn’t feel he needed genie plus with the das. But maybe someone will come along with different advice.

Take care

Claire. x

We hope we will get DAS for our daughter this time (she’s autistic and queues are hard- sensory overwhelm!) but we have also added genie+. I have heard others say it isn’t needed but it may help us fit more into the window of time we have in the parks as we tend to only do a few hours at a time.
Would be interested to hear others opinions.

We are local annual passholders so not in the same situation. However with my daughter's DAS pass I would definitely agree that Genie+ isn't needed as long as the passholder will be going on the majority of rides with the rest of the party.

Is it 30 days before you can apply for the DAS? Or can you do it earlier?

We’re here now & using DAS. Also bought genie + & fancy rides. Yes we could have managed without genie + but it certainly made for a better experience for us - especially in DHS. I can’t manage full days anymore so being able to pack more rides into a shorter time was a big advantage.

Here now and we have DAS for my son.
Didn’t need Genie + at all. We did have 2 preselected rides though.

We have rode everything multiple times.

We went in a very busy April with DAS and did not need genie plus it’s easy to manage without. Definitely pre book, worth the wait.
