Deals..

Where are they?

Just got back from Disneyworld and we thought we may book a cheap Disneyland Paris trip for later in the year.

I looked at their website but I can’t see any deals at all?

I’m sure when I went a few years ago we got something like an extra night or 2 for free and a different deal was some money back when you book in a Disney gift card.

I can’t see anything like that this time ? Am I missing something? Where are the deals?

Unfortunately there aren't any deals. Prices are just going upwards atm. I know there has been offers for WDW but not DLP.

Thanks! I seen all the offers for WDW and thought I must of been missing the Paris ones! Really shocked there are no offers at all… not even a Disney gift card!

Yes I remember the good deals. Unfortunately it seems they have sufficient pend up demand at the minute not to need to offer any. Perhaps in a year or two we might see them again. Who knows, this is Disney we're talking about, they seem to be overly keen to make up for lost revenue. That's understandable to a degree, but they need to strike a balance, otherwise it may come back to bite them in the long run.

The only way to do it cheap these days is offsite. There are hotels within 15 minutes’ walk or a 5 minute journey on the RER.

It’s not too many years ago that there was always 30% off or free dining or 4 nights for 2. Really things changed well before covid when Disney bought out DLP fully - hotel prices rocketed after that.

There may be flash sales later on, and it’s always worth checking other countries’ versions of the website. I have seen people get good deals through the Irish and Dutch sites fairly recently.

30th anniversary + Avenger's Campus + pent-up demand due to Covid = don't expect many deals this year

When the recession bites in the near future though, we'll see

Offsite is worth checking out. Ibis Val d’Europe can be booked for a couple of hundred for 3 nights, and you can leave your room and be at the park in 20 minutes.

Yes good value indeed. The thing to watch though with off site hotels, including Disney affiliate ones, is that emh won't be available. Maybe not a factor at off peak times, but makes a big difference at busy times.
