I would get a pass, so easy to use and saves loads. Check on the ride website first if you plan to do that as they only accept 2 passes. Just chose how many attractions you will need.
You can get a free ferry that goes past sol, doesn’t stop off but it goes 24 hours a day, every 30 minutes so might be nice to see the sunset on there.
We booked separate tickets for sol, direct on the website.
My highlights were the ride and one world observatory. Didn’t have time for Brooklyn bridge but that’s a must do next time.

If you like theatre look at lottery.broadwaydirect we used it in March and had third row tickets for Aladdin for $30. They have lots of different shows available and it's so much cheaper than TKTS!
We also really enjoyed DUMBO, it's a really vibrant area with loads going on, we went over using the tube.

We were in NYC at end of July with 2 late teens and they loved walking round Central Park, taking the ferry to Staten Island, walking down to Little Italy (for DS) and Cornelia St (Taylor Swift’s old house (for DD), walking the High Line, taking the ferry across to DUMBO then to Williamsburg to do a climate themed mini golf which was great fun. We also did MOMA and could have been in there all day, but younger teens might not be so up for it.

We went a few years ago with them and we did TOTR, 9/11 museum and walking back across Brooklyn Bridge.

Can’t believe that after waiting 3 years it’s all over!

We took our 2 eldest nephews in 2017, can’t believe it was that long ago. Our eldest one is back there just now after his stint in camp America.
We went for 4 nights in the October.
We stayed in the Beacon Hotel in a 2 bed suite as I wanted to know they were in the same room as us at night. Aunts worry I guess lol.

Anyway, before we went we all talked about what we wanted to do. We each got to pick something that was our first choice. Our 2 nephews have very different interests but they each respected the others choices which made it work really well and also allowed us to do some very different experiences to suit us all.
We didn’t get any of the passes but I don’t think we missed them
We did the following
Natural History Museum ( eldest nephew request)
TOTR
Basketball in Brooklyn
Ferry to Staten Island, none of us cared about going the Statue of Liberty, we all just wanted to see it.
Rockefeller centre
Central Park
A Bathing Ape shop and all the other shops down that way ( younger nephew request)
Grand Central Station and lunch at the Oyster Bar ( DH request)
Drinks in the Plaza ( my request)
We walked around 5 th avenue, went into Trump Buliding and had IceCream at the Parlour.
We walked around Wall st and over to the 9/11 memorial.
By the 3rd day we had to go back to the hotel for an afternoon nap as we were all exhausted.
Food wise, we had a deli and store across the road from the hotel so we get loads of snacks in there for them to eat in the room. The room was great had a sitting room and kitchen as well as 2 bed and 2 bath.
We ate twice at juniors , the boys picked 5 Napkins one night up near the hotel, we went one night to an Italian near the hotel. It was great , was a local place.
But our best food was walking back up from the shopping trip and stopping at the Shake Shack in the park. It was a lovely evening. Eldest nephew has just gone back as he has such fond memories of it.

Yes. Really cold. Sometimes too cold to be outside for more than an hour or two, especially walking down the larger avenues (north/south) as the wind gets funneled straight down them. Sometimes lots of snow. Sometimes just a little. Sometimes none. You will need a warm hat that covers your ears, scarves, a warm coat and heavy gloves if you plan to walk around at all.
