How easy to eat at other WDW resorts when staying at POFQ?

Just wondering how easy it is to eat at some of the restaurants at other WDW resorts when staying at POFQ if we don't rent a car please? Both myself and my wife were hoping for a holiday free from having to drive but don't know how realistic we are being with that? Any guidance would be highly appreciated. Thanks 🙂

It’s a bit tricky but not impossible. POFQ is very close to Disney Springs and you can get a boat there so lots of dining options. From there you can travel to any other resort. The other option is to get the bus to a park and go to another resort from there but again you need to then go back to a park or DS to get back to the resort. Uber or Lyft are also an option.

For travelling between resorts I'd always choose Uber or Lyft

As there's no direct Disney transport you're looking at two forms of transport and the associated waiting times for each

Uber will cost you c$8-$15 depending what resort you're going to

We’ve done it in the past, before Uber/Lyft we’re invented.. Doable but time consuming, it takes extra planning to arrive on time!
But, you can do it, plan to arrive early and mooch around the resort and shop. Then post dinner, get an Über.

We never have a car and have eaten at many resorts. Either you can go straight from a park, or change buses (usually we changed at DS) or get an Uber.

We went to a few resorts on the boat from Disney springs and then a bus from a park for dinner at animal kingdom lodge.

If you aren't in a rush the boat to Disney springs and then you can get a bus to any resort you want.

You can also use the monorail or skyliner to get around.

Thanks everyone for your responses. We've been chatting about it this evening and we're thinking about maybe reserving one or two days purely for visiting different resorts rather than spend the whole 2 weeks just in the parks. Are there any you think are an absolute "must"? We don't have any kind of preference but would just like to see a bit more of what Disney has to offer. Thanks for all your help! 👍

Three Bridges at Coronado Springs seems a favourite of many. Doesn’t take bookings, walk-ups only.

In the dear old days of free DDP we ate at all the deluxe resorts. Very easy to do and nice to wander round too.

This time we are planning on Citrico’s at Grand Floridian, Hoop de Doo Revue at Fort Wilderness and Steakhouse 71 at the Contemporary and Homecomin’ and the Boathouse at Disney Springs.

Lots of people like Sanaa at Animal Kingdom Lodge and you can see the animals while you’re there.
