Lake Tahoe!

Hey you guys planning a bit of a road trip that will go from San Fran to Lake Tahoe ( not sure where we will go after! ) So just wondering if anyone has been and if you have any hints/tips about where we should base ourselves - thanks

It's beautiful! One of the best places we've been. We went in August 2019 and stayed for 3 nights in South Lake Tahoe. Thinking about going back there next summer. There's plenty to do, chilling out by the lake, swimming, tubing, paddle boarding, cycling or walking. We did the opposite to you and went to San Francisco afterwards as we had travelled up from LA via Mammoth Lakes. Next year, thinking of flying into San Francisco, going to Tahoe, then Yosemite before picking up the PCH at Monterrey and heading down to LA. We've done the PCH before and it's a beautiful drive, head all the way to San Diego if you can.
