When I travelled with BA I notified them as I am partly deaf. My boarding pass actually had it stamped on it. I lip read all the time and the whole mask wearing has been so difficult when trying to hear others. My daughter will often tell me what’s being said or answer for me.
I would recommend telling the airline and as others have stated wear a lanyard if you have one, hopefully it will help. X
