We don’t talk about holiday no no no- Britannia cruise Day 4 Lisbon
Thursday 21st
Great start to this morning, Scott must have eaten something funny as he was sick so I cancelled the breakfast reservation in the early hours. We woke up at 7,45 so would have been too late for the reservation anyway. We got all dressed and ready to go into Lisbon. We had to go up to the buffet for breakfast and we just had pastries and muffins as no one wanted to eat much today. Off the boat by 9.30, Scott didn’t want to walk into town even though I said it wasn’t far but he was looking pale so we did. I don’t think it was worth the money but anyway. We had a quick walk around the town, didn’t find anything of interest and none of my internet was working to find things to do so we went and got a pastie de nata (not sure if that’s right) for €1 to share, which was nice but quite different. Slow walk back with lots of photos and that was it. I don’t think we are very big on the ports. Back to the ship and we decided to go for a swim, costumes and arm bands on and the kids were straight in. I tried to get in gracefully but my footing slipped and in I went. Not particularly what I wanted in front of all the people sat round the sides. We had a good 30 mins in the pool but it was freezing so we got out and dressed and went to the poolside grill for burgers, pizza, chicken and fries for all of us. Chicken was way overdone and looked better than it tasted. Scott decided to go in the hot tub and spent about an hour in there where as we sat on a table near him, Georgia ordered a Pepsi herself while I was at the toilets and both kids went to go get an ice cream themselves, plus one for me. Scarlett came back with a double scoop and mine and was only charged for hers I think. After this we packed the kids off to kids club from 3.30pm till 5.30pm and unfortunately we had a very boring afternoon and tried to upgrade our room to a balcony. We managed to get one for £200. So we packed up waited and waited and waited some more eventually after 3 hours we moved rooms. By the time we had showered and washed the girls hair it was nearly 8pm. Buffet from dinner of fish and chips and then straight to the “once upon a time” show. It was quite good, a little funny. Georgia enjoyed it. Back to the cabin and straight to bed as everyone is tired. These are very long days. |

A balcony for £200 extra sounds good
