Albufeira - any hints tips and ideas ?

Hi all

Off to Albufeira in a couple of weeks with the missus and DD23

Never been to Portugal before let alone Albufeira , so basically after any hints etc

Eg Thjngs to see and do , places to eat ( British style ( sorry) ) , other nearby resorts to visit by bus , boat trip recommendations etc

Appreciate any responses 😀

But chance of getting DW or DD on a Paddle board or kayak is approximately nil

Personally I’d avoid the strip Buryboy. Food offerings, there are countless English pubs, bars etc in Albufeira so you won’t struggle

The strip is a nightmare but there are some hidden gems - we had memorable meals at the sizzling stone, restaurant Costa Rica and my husband loved senor frogs. If you like water parks there’s a couple of gems

The old town is nice at night,and we got the local bus to Vilamora which is lovely spot to have lunch and a few drinks at the marina.

I second a visit to Vilamoura. We stayed here a few years ago, such a nice place for a nice meal or just a drink and a look round the marina.
