I am fortunate to work shifts with a couple of four rest day blocks within my 4 weeks cycle. The NHS are also rather generous with annual leave, when compared with the private sector.. particularly when you reach ten years.

We were hoping to do NY in December that will have be next year now and we have a family cruise in august.

Just got another two weekends away to get me through til Christmas!
Where in the Maldives did you stay? I'm at Oblu Sangeli now and already wondering if we can do another once in a life time trip 😁

I agree with this, I work shifts so can get extra days off at the beg/end of holidays. My annual leave is around 8.5 weeks a year (I’m NHS with over 10 years) sometimes I forget DH only gets 18 days and this really catches me out when I’m planning holidays lol 😂

Mine is inconsiderate enough to have less annual leave than I do too. On the plus side he doesn’t mind me going without him when his holidays run out.

We stayed at Ozen Maadhoo which is part of the same group as Oblu. We heard good things about Sangeli and are considering this for half of our trip, assuming you’re enjoying it? I’m also looking at Lobigili the new adult only and Ozen Reserve Bolifushi.
