Talking TRAMPS LIKE US Apr-12- Day 2- Ooooops!

IF YOU MISSED DAY ONE IT SHOULD BE HERE

Paul set his alarm for 5am, and hopped up like a Jack Rabbit, went down and got a luggage trolley and then came clashing it into our room, all before Georgia or I had even noticed he'd gone.

He has a real talent for waking people up in a manner that slowly turns them into serial killers.

The clashing of the trolly off the door stension would've woken the whole corridor that morning, and if not his singing "holidays are coming" loudly definitely did. Wrong Season as there was no coca cola santa, only a easter egg tucked into the case getting smashed off the door frame.
We all got showered and ready in the bathroom which shouldve had a warning on the door-
THIS ROOM MAY CONTAIN FLASHING LIGHTS AND IMAGES UNSUITABLE FOR SOME INDIVIDUALS

Buffet breakfast was lovely, large selection, but Georgia decided on a fruit salad followed by salmon and mushrooms. I had a full english & Paul of course had about 5 courses.

Checked out and left the car keys for the valet lads to have a few spins to the trafford centre and back.
Lovely walk down to Terminal two on the leisurely travellators, so smug with ourselves that we'd be here in loads of time.

Walked up and down looking for the Thomas Cook desk. Asked a Thomson rep (who looked remarkably like Cillian Murphy) who said, oh we fly Thomas Cook passengers, looked at our tickets and said -stand in that line there, funnily enough it had an big picture of mickey mouse on the side, so it must be the right place . Right?

Baffled for a few minutes whether I couldve actually unwittingly booked Thomsons (they are awfully similar names after all….) And this daft lad keep telling me, yes, yes, dont worry. I decided to ask a woman a bit further up who straight away said, oh youre in the wrong terminal, you need terminal 3.
(Remember the airplane last on the tarmac last night)

U turn through the queue past the daft slack lad , who probably wouldve made a fabulous bus driver " Yes Pet get on my bus, you havent got the exact change or ticket? Argh well never mind, get yerself sat down hinny we can squeeze you's in"
Thanks Cillian.

Words were exchanged as Paul obviously blamed me...and we hotfooted it back past the Radisson toward terminal 3, having no idea how far this was. Luckily not much of a queue at all at check in, but we did see people handing over wads of money, presumably for having overweight luggage?
Everyone was having to have hand luggage weighed .

Our three were weighing just over the 5kg when we had used the scales in the room and we were dreading the inevitable bag shuffle. However once we got up to the desk I was wittering to the guy about how we nearly got on a Thomsons flight ect, and he didnt even weigh our hand luggage. Yayyy.
Being good at talking drivvle, does have its rewards. And to think my teacher used to give me the ruler and detention for "innocuous chitter chatter"

Straight through security. I had to stand up against a dead man outline against a glass type wall thing… is this the body scan? If it was I was totally oblivious to it but the bloke did say- you have an iphone in your back pocket. In hindsight I shouldve said, what model smarty pants?

Once through we went and done the sandwich & drinks thing to overstuff our already overstuffed hand luggage.
Sat in the bar area and had a breakfast cocktail, well it would be rude not to.

Watched the monitor and congratulated ourselves on being so organised.
Now this is where I have to attempt to explain myself. We thought the board had a Green - Gold - Red system. Our flight stated Go to Gate in Green, some flights were Gold saying Boarding gate and then the number, then there was Red that said Last call.

So there we sat. Under our smug cloud.
Would you like another drink hunny? Oh yes why not we are on holiday…
All of a sudden our names were shouted over the tannoy. Warning that our bags were going to be removed- REALLY loudly.

EEEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeeeeeekkk

Paul and Georgia started to run leaving me with three wheely hand luggage.
The gate was only the very furthest away , so picture the scene pulling three wheelie bags all going in a different directions, trying to show willing and break into a run every 10 yrds, like some overloaded overworked mountain donkey.

Peg the stuffed dog fell out of the strap at one point and an equally incapable old lady was shuffling behind me shouting -your little dog, your little dog!
At the gate who should be there but the bloke Id wittered to and he was all smiley and said, no need to panic, ### Panic? i was sucking in air so hard people around me were turning blue.
Got on the plane, very sheepishly thinking we'd held the whole shebang up and we'd get a chorus of boo's.
Not at all we still took off 10 mins early.
Ha

Flight itself was fantastic, possibly the best flight weve EVER been on (and this being our 14th time weve been on a few)

The legroom was amazing, lovely seats, iFE, quiet flight, lotsve space to walk around and stand if your so inclined, tons of overhead locker room Downstairs toilets which were really clean & spacious (three in a row)

Seriously, we were really dreading this flight after all we had read, but it was grand!

We actually touched down 1hr early, due to the tailwind & the early departure.
We were in row 12 and got out really quickly , walked through security , lovely funny border guard who was cracking jokes, and the most unbeleivable thing of all……..our 3 bags were the first on the luggage belt as we walked though. Straight into Hertz, car picked up and away we go. Through the gates of disney world in record time. Am I dreaming? Arrival heaven.

Got to the Boardwalk where there was a big sign saying " Boardwalk residents only" which was a forewarning of how very busy it was, no letting random visitors in today or for the next week while we were there.
Checked into our room quickly, 4094. Didn't get a Boardwalk view but the next best thing, we got a two way view, one window looked out over the waterway and the swan and dolphin hotels and the other over the slide and swimming pool. We also scored on a full length balcony across the doors in the living room AND the bedroom, lovely. Took lotsve photos of the accommodation before we messed it up, take a look at the VIDEO OF DAY 2 if you want to see.

Paul took Georgia swimming while I unpacked - weather was beautiful and the pool nice and quiet. It was fabulous to be back.

Back to the room for a quick change & jacuzzi for Georgia before we went off to ESPN along the Boardwalk for dinner.

We ordered our food then Paul walked across to Epcot to buy a "Tables in Wonderland" card which apparently saved us lotsve money over the course of our holiday. The food portions seemed smaller than last year which isn't a bad thing

The meals came to $50 inc tip & drinks with the TIW discount
ESPN was quite noisy there was a Tampa rays baseball game on and lotsve random tourettes style yelling was making Georgia really jumpy now she was getting tired
Had a little wander around the Boardwalk, taking some photos

Back to the room where georgia fell asleep watching Stephanie and her must do's disneys
We had a few drinks on the balcony watching the sun go down. Happy to be Home

Exhausted by 10pm we fell asleep watching Nancy Grace on the TV -still sitting in the same seat as we left her, same haircut, possibly a bit more bottox, but nevertheless as infuriated as ever.

Don't you just love it once you're there and your two weeks seem like they will last forever?
Its a beautiful thang,

DAY 2 VIDEO HERE

Fantastic day 2, do airports really need all those terminals. It's just a ploy to confuse us! I'm sure Thomson could have made some room for you. Looking forward to say three.
