Travel day ...

We left home at 10.00am and got the train to Gatwick. We arrived at 11.50am to a quiet Gatwick. We walked straight up to the Norwegian check in machines, scanned passports and tickets put luggage on belt and we were through security and Sat in Wagamamas by 12.30pm. After a lovely lunch we got dd2 some food for the plane and the obligatory Jo Malone perfume for me. At 2.30pm we had a text from Norwegian with the gate number and we wandered down. We were excited to see there was going to be a medical assistance dog on the plane. He was very cute and was in our row (opposite side of plane) he didn't move once, DD2 loves dogs do this made her happy. The flight was really good just a little turbulence. Food was ok, beef and rice then chocolate pudding. We also got sandwiches and a cookie before landing. Very impressed with Norwegian, loved the dimming windows 😂 We landed at 7.30 and we're outside at 8.40. I had booked a crash hotel for the night as I didn't want to drive for the first time tired. I rang Fairfield inn and they sent a shuttle. We were in bed by 9.30. Tomorrow we collect the car and drive to Disney😊

Great idea to stay in a hotel after your flight, I've been driving there for years but still not keen on that first journey in the dark !

Great travel day, and good plan with a crash hotel. We did the same this year, its makes for such an easier day
