I might have SAD syndrome

With the nights rapidly drawing in and the clocks going back in just over 2 weeks time, I feel I might have SAD syndrome (seasonal affective disorder). This hasn't been formally diagnosed (as yet), but I am already suffering with the symptoms.

I am worried that if I break the news to my wife and explain that I won't be up to doing any work around the house until next spring, she might think I'm being lazy.

I have to decide whether to tell her about my SAD, or just just struggle in silence.

Mickey SAD is not good, you really need to tell the wife about it because it is not good to suffer in silence even when we know you are a strong caring person.

It’s very depressing isn’t it?
I just want to eat lots and hibernate at the moment.

You could always invest in a light box so Mrs H doesn’t think you’re slacking for the hell of it?
In all seriousness my best friend really does suffer, more than just feeling low. She sent me a picture earlier of her sat in front of it. Not sure how effective they are?

I think it would be wrong of anyone to kick a man when he's down. I'm not after sympathy, but felt I needed to share my SAD issue with with my dibb family.

I think I have it too - or I’m just a grumpy old boot 😂😂.
Last weekend it was the week after we got back from Florida so I don’t think you are in the best of moods but it was cold n damp n I must have been moaning about everything n dh said
“is ANYTHING right? I smell, the washing smells, the house is cold and damp. Do you actually like anything?”
😂😂😂tbh in that mood I could’ve flattened him but after I thought 🤔I think I was moaning a bit😂😂

I’m a miserable b#tch, I think I have SAD too, I can’t bear winter I find keeping busy helps and you should do all those unfinished jobs around the house. I cleaned out a food cupboard and found a tin of condensed milk from 2012, we don’t use condensed milk so where the hell did that come from? Eating comfort food, Netflix, shopping, Christmas helps me through till the summer!

General Chat is a very sad forum anyway, with all the whinging and moaning and feeling sorry for themselves. I've been on loads of forums over the years and have never known anything like it.
