Come off plane, collect your luggage and do immigration, back on the belt, follow signs for connecting flights, pass security and you are in the main departures. Find your gate and off you go.

Fab thank you is it far to immigration with the bags . Only ask as my parents are elderly just so we're prepared and to put bags back on belt etc .

No it's not far at all.
From memory, there was no silly esclators to contend with like mco!

This is correct - immigration first, then the baggage hall - then you walk through the customs area and on through to where you drop your cases again. There are screens here where you can check the gate for next flight (letter-number). Straight after that is security and then you go down to the shuttle train. The letter of your gate tells you which stop you need on the train.

It’s very easy!
