Villa stress!

We have booked our villa for 2020 and the same villa for 2021 as we thought we had found the perfect fit for us.
We had an email today direct from the owners saying that they have decided to change management companies and that there had been a fall out (not in so many words but that’s the top and bottom of it)
If we want to still stay at this villa we need to get our deposit back and rebook, they will honour our prices.
We have contacted the original management company who emailed straight away to say this only happened late Saturday and they are contacting all customers tomorrow as they did not think the owner would email direct.
It looks like we can get our deposits back and rebook else where or use our deposit to stay at a different villa that the MC has.
Problem is that there are no nice 4 bed villas available for 2020. That’s a bit strong but they are not at the same level as the original one we booked. There are some 5&6 bed villas but I doubt we can change to one of those.
We have had no holiday at all this year and we are so excited to go back next year. Flight prices are becoming a worry (cost going up, not down) and now this.
Looks like I am on for a sleepless night

Why not get your deposit back and re book with the owner direct if they are honouring the same cost and it is the villa you want to stay at.

Our only issue with booking direct with the owner is that we do not know his new management company. We have stayed with the original MC loads of times and they have excellent customer care.
I am only assuming we will get the full deposit back. We should find out more today hopefully

Rebook direct with the owner. You don’t know what’s happened behind the scenes but clearly the owner isn’t happy with the MC or they wouldn’t have sacked them.

I always book direct with owners, who the management company is, is of no interest to us, it’s up to the owner to choose a company that oversees their villa to their satisfaction. In 15 years we have only had to contact a management company on 2 separate occasions for different villas, once for a pool problem, once when the heating wasn’t working during a particularly cold spell!

Ive always booked direct with the owner, ok if i have anyproblems i still go to the mc and dont harrass the owner, as thats what the mc are payed for.
Besides its the villa you want? Not the mc.

The Townhouse I stayed in last year I booked Direct through the owners when I had a problem management company where there are no problem at all

If you like the villa book direct, I’ve never booked a villa because of the management company I booked because I like liked the villa, never had an issue.
