Tampa bay rays
Hello, I am planning to watch the rays baseball game at the end of March, the ticket prices for the games I can attend are ridiculously expensive for 5 people, can anyone offer any advice please, I am thinking of having a beach day out Near Tampa and just go to the box office the day of the game and see how much the tickets are then.

We have previously looked at Tampa Bay Ray tickets and might try to go this year. Have you tried the mlb website under the Rays section for tickets? They vary from $10 to $32 per person

It looks like the Pirates and Yankees tickets are sold out on the mlb website and are only on the secondary ticket websites. Cheapest tickets seem to be $47 on vividseats

There's zero chance the Rays have sold out already. Even for the home opener or against the Yankees.
You're not seeing lower price options as single game tickets aren't on sale yet. This should change very soon |

Single game tickets are not on sale yet so any tickets you are seeing on Stubhub are people selling tickets for games from their season tickets that they cannot attend.
In 2019 single game tickets went on sale on 8th Feb but the game we are waiting for hasn't gone on sale yet so suspect they will be released soon. I believe that the only place to get them at face value is via the MLB App. |

May not be of any help to you but I'm staying in Cape Coral and have just booked two tickets for the last of the Ray's Spring Training games in Port Charlotte (Charlotte Sports Park) on the 20th March against Washington Nationals. $26 per ticket. I know it's not Tropicana but I'm looking forward to it.
ps booked direct via mlb.com Edited at 12:39 PM. |

Also, depends whether you are going with kids or not but I believe the Sunday afternoon games always have a promotion on - family tickets are really cheap and for the Pirates game on the 29th March all kids get a free baseball cap.
We have booked a night at St Petes beach at The Grand Plaza hotel which is close by. So we will drive down early, check in, off to Tropicana Field for the baseball then next day at St Pete's beack too. |
