As many above
We have been DDP for a couple of visits - including this year. We to Disney springs for a quick service - this also frees up a table service so we can book at least 1 x signature during our stay. ( we usually also just do Earl of Sandwich or similar on the way out which gives us another table service credit to carry over = 2 x signature ! )

We always do Disney Springs on our first night onsite. Usually at SSR but this year we are staying in POR. Usually do Wolfgang Puck Express but trying Raglan Road this year. We land at 3:30 with BA and using ME. We have booked table for 7:15pm so fingers crossed.

Always quick service at resort, take it back to the room and chill. My dd always feels really dizzy after flying and the long day so we take it easy.

We're on QSDP (as always) at POR, so we hop on the boat to Springs and avail ourselves of one of the many QSDP places there - the choice is really very good - before or after the Hangar Bar for a beer flight.
I wouldn't want to tie myself into a table service reservation in case of immigration or flight delays.

we were lucky last year and got to AKL at a decent time and managed to unpack and go to Magic Kingdom for a few hours, I think I would have struggled to have a sit down meal as the tiredness would have kicked in

Last year we planned to go to Disney Springs but it took us 3 hours to get out of the airport so it was quick service at POR and an early night instead!

We always go to Disney Springs, we find it helps avoid jetlag if we push through the tiredness and stay up until 10pm or so US time. We don't usually bother with a full meal though as rarely fancy it, so just grab something from a food truck or Earl of Sandwich, plus a visit to Starbucks.

I wouldn't book an ADR as then you have to worry about landing on time, immigration queues, etc, etc and that would just stress me out, but going somewhere for food is definitely doable.
