Refund from Virgin Holidays re Hurricane

Just got a email from VH to state they are going to pay Ł307.00 for 2 days lost car rental and 2 days hotel stay. I've not asked for compensation from VH and wondered if anyone had received similar email?

Wow, really? No, I haven't had an email like that but I wasn't expecting any type of refund as we chose to go. When did you fly out?

That's interesting, thank you. We were there through Irma, we booked our holiday with Thomson and haven't received an email as yet, will wait and see!
