Miami

We are flying home from Miami and are planning on staying for 5/7 days here. Any recommendations for accommodation near to the beach and restaurants etc please? Which area is best to stay?

I prefer South Beach to Miami Beach. Lots of hotels situated on the beach and loads of shops and restaurants in walking distance. What’s your budget ?

It’s been a few years since we stayed in a hotel on Miami Beach but we are staying in Gales Hotel on Collins Dr, Miami Beach next month for 4 nights before heading to Mexico.
From friends we know who stayed there, and the reviews and maps it’s in a great location, safe, within walking distance to restaurants and shops and across the road from the beach.

We’ve stayed on South Beach and also North. North is quieter and slightly more affordable! Very easy to Uber anywhere and actually, we hired the Citi Bikes (like Boris bikes) and explored on our way down to south beach which was nice.
What’s your budget?
We went North last time because we could have a family ocean front suite for the price of a standard no view room in a comparable hotel further down.

The Eden Roc and Grand Beach Surfside are probably my recommendations.
The Miami Edition would be cool as our favourite restaurant is there but it’s a bit steep for me!

Stayed at The Marseilles Hotel on Collins Ave, South Beach.
It's on the beach and 5 -10 minutes walk to restaurants and bars.
