Toll pass question

The info on the new Toll Pass says you must cancel the car hire system. We’re booked with Alamo. How do I do this please?

I believe The visitor toll pass system will override the Alamo one
Just be sure to hang the tag from the rear view mirror before leaving the garage,
You will then receive an email confirming the vehicle number plate has been registered from visitor toll pass.

I can certainly confirm from personal experience that the VTP overrides the Sunpass system so you won't be charged twice.

The bar code on the VTP tag is read as you leave one of the garages and at all subsequent plazas.

You may wish to go on to your account when you're able and enter your car reg if you like. When I logged on to my account as soon as we arrived at the villa the three transactions on the 417 were already showing. The car reg was not mine which led me to think VTP works on bar code swipe not on a camera taking a photo of your plate as the Sunpass does.

I guess that they recycle all the tags and the car reg shown on your account doesn't get changed unless you choose to do it yourself.
