DxDDP
After posting on another thread I am now considering the DxDDP so we can sample some dinner shows and signature dining.
Can anyone point me in the direction of some trip reports with DxDDP please

Hi you will get different views on dddp, its a lot of food even if you do mostly signature. With regular ddp we do 3/4 signatures in 10 days. Big decision others think its great but some find to much time in restaurants, breakfast lunch dinner a lot of food in warm weather.

There are quite a few. Most people will put whether it’d deluxe in the thread title.

I started one but gave up.
We tended to have a single credit meal and a signature each day and it was a little restrictive. I think we’d perhaps do it again though but just book the essentials and take pot luck on the rest as and when we found we were hungry. I wish there was a plan inbetween standard and deluxe. We like to have starters but don’t need 3 meals a day. However, because we like the signatures we end up short of credits with standard DDP No idea if that made any sense 🤷 |

I could do without starters but would like 3 meals a day so can have a sit down breakfast and a signature dinner. There are a few signature meals I would like to try but wouldn’t have enough credits on normal ddp

My February report is a deluxe dining one, link in my signature. The first part of the trip was Universal, the deluxe dining was the last five days and I have an index on first post so you can easily skip to it. As Sha mentions, people usually mention whether it is a deluxe report in the thread title.
I have never thought that deluxe dining is a “lot of food” per se. You are not force fed anything after all and are more likely to eat at signature or at least TS which is generally smaller portions. It was pretty easy to get through the credits for five days - one breakfast or early lunch and one signature dinner, two meals a day is not a lot of food, most people eat three meals a day. I have an eleven night trip with deluxe dining coming up though and over a longer stay I doubt we can get through the credits as we don’t want a signature every night. I say it is too many credits rather than a lot of food as we don’t order food we don’t need or want, we won’t order three courses because we are allowed three courses, we are happy to use snack credits on bottled water etc. I like the deluxe dining plan, because we like starters (we don’t like desserts and rarely have them) and also I don’t like the QS dining experience in the parks. |
