As a teenager my brother washed his shoulder length hair (it was the 1970s!) In washing up liquid - probably sqeezy as that's what mum used in those days. Later in the afternoon we went swimming together and his hair started bubbling in the pool!

He stuck to proper shampoo after that.

It was a big thing when I was young to wash your hair in washing up liquid but use a decent conditioner.

Ah the thought of him standing there loofah in hand, apparently he only has a small one 🤣
