Smaller portions?

I guess my tip will have to be trimmed if they are bringing me less, I'm sure they will understand.

Smaller portions I’m all for , i find esp at sit down locations the portions are huge, it won’t do us any harm to eat a little less 😀

TBh we prefer to eat offsite anyway, none of the onsite restaurants are worth it IMO

Thing is - they wont reduce the price and people just accept it.

Let's face it. This is Disney. They are going to increase the prices as well as reduce portion sizes (and the other stuff they mention). They'll want to ensure they cover the inflation rises and make a bit more profit on the top.
I was there in 2018 and 2019. I ate mainly QS and never managed to finish a meal, it was always too much, so I ended up wasting a lot. I go solo so sharing isn't an option. So I'm all for smaller portions.

So if the report had said “we’re going to increase food prices” what would the reaction be? I can’t imagine anyone would be surprised. This is just the same thing done differently and to be honest, smaller portions isn’t really a bad thing.

They don’t have to raise prices significantly or reduce portion sizes. He clearly advised shareholders that this was a move to maintain and help increase annual profits. Good for shareholders but not so good for hungry visitors.

No they don’t have to but I bet they were going to. For some reason being told portion sizes are reducing sounds worse than price increases.

Hoping this doesn't come in before we go in January, we often pick mains that are shareable and are planning on doing even more this time. Most of the time we don't have any waste even if we have something each but we're hungrier on holiday as we get there at rope drop and leave at chucking out time and are on the go all day (great for my step count) And i do like there are lighter options so i often have salad or a hummus/pita option so I balance stuff.

Its not awful at all ...on its own. However when you stack it with all the other money grabbing cost cutting it seems worse.

I do find it amusing that they told investors about it mind.
